John Thomas Rock, 66, of Lumberton passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 15, 1944 to Frances Olivier Rock and James Rock in Franklin, Louisiana. John lived in Port Arthur for most of his life before moving to Lumberton three years ago. He retired as the manager of Jack's Shrimp House in Port Arthur. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, James Lee Candler. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Rock of Lumberton, his daughters, Sheila Bryant and husband Wayne of Port Arthur and Melinda Menard and husband Joe of Buna, his sons, Paul Candler of Sulphur, La. and Willie Wise, Jr. and wife Danese of Lumberton, 20 grandchildren and 1 great grandchildren.
