Floyd Alton Riley April 1, 1926 - June 1, 2011

Floyd Alton Riley, 85 of Groves, Texas passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Cypress Glen East in Port Arthur. He was born April 1, 1926 to Joseph L. Riley and Nora O'Brien Riley in Port Arthur, TX. Floyd retired from Texaco as a Supervisor after 32 years of service. He served our country in the US Navy during WW II and was on the USS Missouri during the surrender of the Japanese forces. Floyd was a member of First Baptist Church of Port Arthur. Visitation will be on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 3, 2011 with Pastor Elvin Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches with military honors. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters, which he was the youngest of. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Lee Riley of Groves, Texas, daughter, Tammy Lee Riley of Groves, TX, sons, John W. Riley of Bronson, TX, Paul A. Riley of Lumberton, TX, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
