Donald Ray Jennings November 29, 1942 - July 4, 2011

Donald Ray Jennings, 68 of Sabine Pass passed away Monday, July 4, 2011. Donald was a native of Sabine Pass and lived his whole life in the Southeast Texas area. He retired as a machinist from Ameripol Synpol after serving 22 years of service. Along with his career as a machinist Donald was known for his talented abilities in pencil art and craftsmanship. He had many hobbies including building model gas airplanes that he flew with his Grandson's. Some of his favorites included discussing politics, collecting valuables and helping out with his father's church. Donald is preceded in death by his father, W.D. Jennings; mother, Lillian Jennings and sister, Jerry S. Ahrlett. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Dixie Jennings; son, Shane Jennings and wife Deborah; daughter, Shanna Williams and husband Jeff of Sabine Pass. Grandchildren; Cole Williams, Clay Williams, Caden Williams, Russell Uher, Quentin Uher and Joseph Uher. Siblings, Marilyn Alford and husband Jessie of Florence KY; Polly Timms and husband Daniel of Fannett, TX. along with several nieces and nephews.
