Julian T. Sanchez, Jr. July 9, 1952 - July 11, 2011

Julian T. "Junior" Sanchez, Jr., 59, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Monday, July 11, 2011 at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born on July 9, 1952 to Dora Palanco Sanchez and Julian T. Sanchez, Sr. in Port Arthur, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Julian graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1970. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He worked as a boilermaker for Valero with 40 years of service. Julian was a member of the Word of Life Church in Groves. He was preceded in death by his father, Julian T. Sanchez, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, Lana Sanchez of Port Arthur, three daughters, Anna Jennings and husband Jaycee of Dallas, Texas, Tiffany Gotro and husband Brent of Frisco, Texas, Jolyn Barrios and husband Andy of Hurst, Texas, four grandchildren, Zach, Micah and Malea Jennings and Jett Gotro. He is also survived by his mother Dora P. Sanchez of longtime resident of Port Arthur,currently in Austin and his sister, Mary Knox Brazill of Austin, Texas along with niece, Lynn Marie Knox and nephew, Ira Irl Knox III both of Austin, Texas.

Lana and family: Just wanted you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you for God to send you the comforter and His strength in your time of sorrow. We all know that Julian is in a much better place and can look forward to the day we get to rejoice with him in heaven. He was a special friend and neighbor and will be sorely missed.
