Joseph B. "Buddy" LeDoux passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, his 85th birthday, at his home. He was born September 27, 1926 to Mable Cunningham LeDoux and Camille LeDoux in McAllen, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur. Buddy served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He retired from Gulf Oil as Dock Supervisor after 34 years of service. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. Buddy was an avid hunter since age of 12. He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. John Berry, his brother-in-laws, Marvin Terrell, Sr., Louis DeJohn and Ray McClelland. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Melba Berry LeDoux of Groves, Texas, his daughter, Belinda Nichols and husband Jerry of Vinton, Louisiana, his son, Joey LeDoux of Groves, Texas, five grandchildren, Ryan, Adam and J. Camille LeDoux, Katie and Klaudia Nichols. He is also survived by his two sisters, Sadie DeJohn of Port Arthur, Texas and Helen Terrell of Alpharetta, Georgia along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
