We were blessed at Thanksgiving by having Tommy and Loretta with us. As usual, we had a great time. Tommy was always great company, a great person to talk and visit with. As soon as we asked how his three boys were doing, the sun would come out in his face, his eyes would sparkle, and you could see the love and pride he had in his children. He loved talking about his boys. We loved the way Tommy enjoyed feeding the birds. He was a good handyman, and he had done many things neat things around the house, like the decks. We loved the photo he had of his hot-shot driving days, when he miscalculated the height of his load. Crunch! Well, as they say on the railroad, if you're going to tear it up, tear it up really good. Our thanks to Tommy for serving our country in the Marine Corps during the Korean conflict--Semper Fi! Wish he was here, so we could ask him what he thought about North Korean dictator Kim Jung Il's passing this week. We'll miss sitting and talking with Tommy. Our condolences to Loretta and her family and to Tommy's children and their families and friends. Y'all are in our thoughts and prayers. God bless.

Tommy was a true hero and one of the kindest gentlemen I have ever met. It is so awesome to find a soul mate. Loretta and Tommy were. I believe soul mates are true gifts from our Heavenly Father. So too, are the wonderful memories we have when God calls one home. My prayers are for your peace and comfort during this sad time of losing such a fine man, husband, father, and grandfather from this earth. Love to all.
