Beatrice "Bea" Lee August 19, 1922 - January 2, 2012

Beatrice Lee Beatrice "Bea" Lee, 89, of Groves, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2012, at her residence. Born to Willifred and Philomene (Zimmerman) Breaux, in Patterson, Louisiana, she was a lifelong resident of "The Groves" and a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Groves. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday in the Thompson Memorial Chapel of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Bottoms, officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Bea is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lee, and three sisters. Survivors include: Sons and daughters in law: Wilford and Gwen Lee, Groves and Larry and Peggy Lee, Port Acres; daughters and sons in law: Charlotte and Jimmy DeRouen, Groves, Martha and Tommy Gathright, Paris, Texas and Teresa and Judge Brad Burnett, Port Neches. Sister and brother in law, Peggy and Gene Smith, Mauriceville. 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Family suggests memorials to the Groves Beautification Committee, 4449 Garfield, Groves, Texas 77619 or favorite charity. The family also expresses the heartfelt gratitude to the telemetry staff of Christus St.Mary Hospital.
