A Life Remembered

Obituary

Catherine Lucille Dupuis May 7, 1929 - January 15, 2012

Catherine "Kitty" Lucille Dupuis Catherine "Kitty" Lucille (Thibodeaux) Dupuis, 82 years old, was born in Port Arthur, Texas and lived all of her life in Port Arthur and Groves. She attended public and Catholic school at St. Mary's where she graduated in 1947. She was a homemaker, but worked at St. Mary's Hospital for a number of years. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and was a Eucharistic Minister. She is preceded in death by her husband Melvin Dupuis. She is survived by her five children; Kitty Laws and husband Wayne of Groves, Rebecca Dupuis-Johnson of Port Arthur, Chris Dupuis and wife Debbie of Nederland, Lori Dupuis of Groves, and Renee Romero and husband Drake of Groves. She was loved by her ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. Kissing Grandy sometimes came with a price. Honey, her beloved dog, who protected her would sometimes bite you if you would get too close. Even this did not keep us away from stealing a kiss from our Grandy. She always had loving and spiritual advice and guidance for all who crossed her path. She poised herself with a beautiful smile on her face and a song in her heart. We will always love her and she will be missed dearly. The family would like to give a special thanks to Earthen Angels and Odyssey Hospice for their loving care during Kitty's illness. May God bless them all.

From family and friends

Lori, Chris, Debbie, Kitty, Renee and all the other children, in-laws and grandchildren of Kitty. I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Dupuis was a special lady to me during my young adult years. I spent alot of time with her as Lori and I were in Young Adults together and she ALWAYS was gracious and shared her faith so openly. May your memories of her be your comfort. Sending up prayers for all of you during this time.
