Mark E. Hunter, Jr. Mark E. Hunter, Jr., 85, of Groves, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas. He was born February 24, 1926 to Nollie and Mark E. Hunter, Sr. in Port Arthur, Texas. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1944. He served in the Army Air Corps and was stationed in San Angelo, Texas. Mark worked for Gulf/Chevron for 35 years, retiring in 1986. He was an avid hunter and fisherman that loved the outdoors. He took great pride in his garden. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Mary Alice Hunter, Sylvia Farris and Sue Ellen Hunter. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, JoAnn Bartlett Hunter of Groves, sons, John Jay Teller and wife Sharon of Mauriceville, Terrell Glenn Davis and wife Debra M. of Humble, daughter, Peggy Peterson and husband Roger of San Antonio, brother, William Hunter of Groves, 11 grandchildren; Andrea Harris, Meredith Peterson, Terrell Keith Davis, Jeanette Tweedle, John Jay Teller, Kathryn Teller, Hope Teller, Jacob LeMaier, Joey LeMaier, John Wayne Richard and Addie LeBrooke and 3 great grandchildren.
