Susan Marie Bourque November 11, 1965 - February 28, 2012
Susan Marie Ardoin Bourque, 46, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Dubuis Hospital of Port Arthur. She was born on November 11, 1965 in Port Arthur to Helen M. Schmidt Ardoin and Hillery John Ardoin. Susan graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1984 and was currently enrolled at Lamar State College in Port Arthur. She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a former member of the Junior-Red Hat Society. Susan loved animals, as she was a volunteer horse groomer at Stable Spirit in Rose City. She was preceded in death by her father, Hillery John Ardoin. She is survived by her mother, Helen M. Ardoin of Port Arthur, her brother, John Michael Ardoin of Port Arthur, her niece, Lindsay Pinell and husband Brandon of Port Neches, several aunts and uncles along with numerous cousins.

I went to school with Susan and remember her sweet generous nature. She was truly a special person with a loving heart. I am so sad to hear that she was sick and has passed at such a young age.

Susan always had a joyful, contagious smile every time I saw her out with the horses and people of Stable-Spirit. Her sweetness and her caring heart will be missed by all those she touched. Keeping her family in my thoughts and prayers.

The last time I saw Susan she had just finished grooming several Stable Spirit horses and was getting in her car to leave. I was just going to wave good bye, but she made a point to stop and give me a hug. I will not forget her sweet spirit and smile. Her life has made a difference in mine. She is already missed.

Susan will always hold a special place in my heart. I met her at Stable-Spirit last year while grooming the horses. We shared a lot but mostly laughed a lot. I felt at home with Susan as she made you feel like you had known her for a lifetime. I will miss you Susan..share your love and smiles with those in Heaven~

Susan's aura was so soft and gentle. It was a joy to be in her company. Our activities together at Stable Spirit were so pleasant and calm. There will be a big gap where we had had time together with her.

I am so sorry to here about Susans passing....I know she will be greatly missed..but I am sure she is having a wonderful time in Heaven about now...she will no longer have pain...she was a very sweet girl she was my sister-in-law for several years....my sympathy is extended on behalf of my family...the Benoit's, Huffman's and the Bourque's.

I had the pleasure of working with Susan at Stable-Spirit. We groomed horses and talked while we let them groom. Susan had such a sweet, kind, loving spirit. She is someone we will all miss!!! If yall need anything during this time, please feel free to let me know!
