Bruce Franklin Goates June 16, 1929 - June 2, 2012

Bruce F. Goates of Groves, Texas, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012, in Groves. Bruce was born on June 16, 1929, to Clarence Earl and Bessie Mildred Tucker Goates in Port Arthur, Texas. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High Schooland was a resident of this area all of his life. Bruce served in the Merchant Marines and was self-employed in the construction industry. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jackie Goates, and son Kent Goates. He is survived by his sons, Rusty and wife Nancy Goates of Winnie; Keith and his wife Glenda Goates of Sam Rayburn; his daughter Dr. Brenda Duhon and her husband Robert of Port Neches; three grandchildren, Amy Owen Neeb of Port Neches, Jared Owen of Port Neches, Kennedy Goates of Sam Rayburn; and four great grandsons.
