Audrey Mae Martin August 5, 1931 - June 14, 2012

Audrey Mae Persefield Martin, 80, of Groves passed away on June 14, 2012. Her courageous battle ended after suffering a massive stroke 3 1/2 years ago. Audrey was born to Theo and Agnes Bodin on August 5, 1931 in Port Arthur, Texas. She was a Social Activity Director for Oak Groves Nursing Home for many years. Her love of taking care of the elderly was her passion. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother who always put others before herself. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, Roland and Bo Bodin, her husband, John Martin, and her youngest daughter, Lori Persefield Hickson. We find comfort in knowing that they are all together. She is survived by her sister, Dena Philpott, daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Kenneth Reeves of Groves, her son, Randy Persefield of St. Charles, Missouri. Grandchildren, Brian Reeves and his wife Jennifer, Brandon Reeves and his wife Meagan, Brett Reeves and his wife Jodi, Robert Persefield, Miranda Persefield, Mallori Persefield, Bradley Persefield, Ashley Fouquet, Tucker Hickson and Taylor Hickson and 13 great-grandchildren. The family would love to thank Odyssey Hospice for their compassionate care and a special thank you to Eddie and Paula Carter for taking such great care of our Mom in her final days.
