Val Eugene Lindsey December 28, 1969 - July 7, 2012

Val Eugene Lindsey, 42 of Nederland passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at his residence. Val was born on December 28, 1969 in Nederland to Kenneth and Bobbie Martin Lindsey. He was a life long resident of this area. Val was a self employed musician having played with George Jones, Tracy Byrd, Mark Chesnutt and many others. He was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his mother, Bobbie Lindsey of Nederland, son, Alston Crone of Bridge City, brothers Joey and wife Tiffany Hardy of Beaumont, Kel and wife Kristy Lindsey of Lumberton and two nephews.

i went to school with val in junior high and most of my high school years i am sorry to hear of his death..i remember him being an awesome fiddle player..so talented and such a good guy. i also had drama with him ..my prayers are for him and his family

To the entire Lindsey Family. I am so sorry to hear of Val's passing. I remember all the fun times Val and I had. All the time we would laugh. When I read the newspaper I almost fell out of my chair. As I am sending this I keep remembering all the fun times we had. I know that Val was a great friend. To Ms. Lindsey I know how hard this is for you. I am so very saddened and offer my sympathies to Val's family. I attended school with Val from Highland Park through NHS, and he was the sweetest, nicest person ever. He will be greatly missed.
