Rose Mary Benfield

Rose Mary Benfield July 14, 1928 - August 6, 2012

Rose Mary Benfield, 84, of Groves, passed away on Monday, August 6th, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born July 14, 1928 to the late John and Mary Pecorino. Rose was a loving mother and proud grandmother to her family. Rose's greatest joy in life was spending time with family. She also enjoyed going to the casino or "the boat" as she called it, playing cards and most of all going to play bingo with her sister Joyce. She was known to be a great cook and for many years was asked to make the St Joseph pasta sauce for the Italian Club. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Ralph Benfield II. She is survived by her two sisters, Bess Newsom of Bridge City and Joyce Bodin and her husband Bobby of Port Arthur. Her four children, Helen Brevell and her husband Eddie of Houston, Ralph Benfield of Groves, John Benfield and his wife Penny of Bridge City and Becky Wheeler and her husband Tom of Bellaire along with thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
