Leo D. Fairchild, Jr., 50, of Sabine Pass, Texas passed away at his home on Saturday, September 8, 2012. He was born on March 14, 1962 to Viola Blankenship Fairchild and Leo D. Fairchild, Sr. in Port Arthur, Texas. Hap was a lifelong resident of the area. He worked as a dealer and Pit boss for Harrah's Casino in Lake Charles for over two years. He was a member of Sabine Pass Christian Fellowship Church. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 13, 2012 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Rev. Ken Barker, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo D. "Champs" Fairchild, Sr. Hap is survived by his wife, Tori Jordan of Sabine Pass, Texas, his daughter, Celina Fairchild of Nederland, Texas, his mother, Viola Fairchild of Sabine Pass, Texas, his sisters, Sharon Casagrande and husband Tom of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Darlene Whitlock of Ladson, South Carolina, Leola Gravelle and husband Tim of Portland, Oregon, several nieces and nephews.
