Herminia Daniels April 25, 1928 - October 20, 2012

Herminia (Minnie) Daniels, 84, died on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at her home in Port Arthur. She was born on April 25, 1928, in Baytown, Texas. Mrs. Daniels was a life-long member of Our Lady of Guadalupe church and served many years as a Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her 5 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Natchie Daniels; daughter, Sylvia Darcy and her husband, Ronald of Katy; son, Richard Daniels of Beaumont; son, Roland Daniels and his wife, Sherry of Lumberton; five grandchildren, Ronald J. Darcy, Jr.and his wife, Jill, Sofia Darcy, Bryan Daniels and his wife Tara, Ashley Daniels, and Emily Daniels; and three great-grandchildren, Jarred Darcy, Lauren Darcy, and Keira Daniels; sister, Aurora Trevino, brother, Elias Hernandez, brother, Armando Hernandez; and a host of extended relatives and friends. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home, 5200 39th Street, Groves, with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3648 S/Sgt Lucian Adams Drive. Port Arthur, Texas, with internment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves. Serving as pallbearers will be: Tony Trevino, Arthur Hernandez, Gabriel Hernandez, John Rodriguez, Ronald Darcy, Jr., and Bryan Daniels. Honorary pallbearers are Louis Hernandez and Zachary Smith. The family would like to express their appreciation to friends, family, neighbors, and members of Our Lady of Guadalupe church, particularly Kathy Roccaforte, for their kindness, prayers and sympathies.
