Amy Oliver July 18, 1924 - October 28, 2012

Amy Oliver, 88, formerly of Fannett, recently of Beaumont, Texas passed suddenly on October 28, 2012 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. Amy was born in Port Arthur on July 18, 1924 to Elda Rodriguez Smith and Murphy Smith. She was a life long resident of this area. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. She moved to Fannett in 1980 after her husband retired from Texaco. Amy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dallas P. Oliver, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Haynes and husband Don of Hendersonville, TN; Sons, Danny Oliver, Glenn Oliver and wife Cathy, and Dale Oliver and wife Carolyn, all of Fannett. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Thursday at 2:00 P.M. in the Clayton Chapel of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
