Messages of Love

From family and friends

Dr. Christopher G. Browning November 4, 2012
I was sorry to hear about the passing of Mr.Krause. I practiced for about 8 years in Port Arthur and I will never forget Mr. Krause. He was one of my first patients. He would faithfully ride the Port Arthur transit to my office and followed me through three moves and several hurricanes. My staff and my family all loved him and we adopted him as our second grandfather. He was hospitalized on occasion, over the years and we celebrated Christmas in his room, listening to German tunes around a small Christmas tree erected by the staff in his honor. Mr. Krause was living history and taught us much about compassion and treatment of our fellow human beings. He was an animal lover and his friend buddy was at sitting under his wheelchair the last time I saw him one cold holiday at his Port Arthur home. We would take him food on Christmas as he was homebound at that time. Mr. Krause cherished the small things in life and was a grateful person who taught me a lot. I thank God for bringing him into my life and I know my wife, my mother Janice and ALL of my old office staff, and my sons will miss him. May God bless his family and comfort them in their time of sorrow.
