Dad (Maj Gen GS PAtton commanded the 2nd AD in Tx and I remember Father being so important to us all. Last week I wrote to a Veteran (featured in the book Portraits of Service). I told him about Father because this Vet "built an altar out of a stump" similar to what father used to sing about in his song Me and Jesus. I thought "what a coincidence!" Thanks much to Father I converted to RC in '91. May he rest in peace (except for the guitar and song which must go on!!

Father Montodon has been such a blessing to our family. He ministered to a family member at Fort Polk, baptized one of our daughter's at St. Charles, officiated at my Mother's funeral, and became our interim pastor at St. Elizabeth Church. Our parish still sings the blessing he taught us. He will be greatly missed.

To The Montondon Family, What a wonderful person Father Montondon was and he always had a great big smile for all those he greeted!! I loved hearing him sing!! He will always hold a very special place in my heart as I remember, as a little girl, him saying my father's funeral in April, 1969, I will keep him and all of his family in my thoughts and prayers!! Thank your for your years of service, Father Montondon!! Sincerely, Diane Bowen
