Glenda Yvonne McCoy, 79, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away at her residence on Sunday, December 16, 2012. Mrs. McCoy was born on September 5, 1933 to Lena Gomillion White and Horace Edward White in Port Arthur. Glenda was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur. She enjoyed reading, art, listening to opera, and playing with her grandchildren. Glenda is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dexter Vance McCoy of Port Arthur; daughter, Pamela Anne McCoy of Monck's Corner, South Carolina; her son, Gregory Vance McCoy of Katy, Texas; sister, Nelma White Hyde of McKinney, Texas and 2 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 19 from 5-7 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 2 PM with Rev. Clay Faulk, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.
