Earl Cox, 78, of Port Neches, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Earl was born to the late Earl T. and Roberta (Moore) Cox, in Houston, Texas, on May 25, 1934. Bud retired from Texaco Chemical as a machinist after 38 years of service. Earl is preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Talbot Cox and a grandchild, Chad Christopher Miller. Survivors include his sons, Bert Cox of Colmesneil, TX, Ben Cox of Greenwood, AR; daughters, Barbara Cox Miguez of Port Neches, Bonnie Cox Gracia of Rio Frio, TX; brothers, Franny Cox of Silsbee, TX, Tim Cox of Port Neches; a sister, Anne Sandel of Bryan, TX; 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, January 7, 2013 at 10:00 A.M., in the Thompson Memorial Chapel of Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
