Richard Joseph Bergeron March 8, 1937 - January 27, 2013
Richard Joseph Bergeron, age 75 of Sabine Pass passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Richard was born on March 8, 1937 in Chauvin, LA. to Claude and Pearl Thibodeaux Bergeron. He was a commercial fisherman, master boat builder for the past 60 years and had lived in Sabine Pass for the last 30 years. Richard was a member of Sabine Pass Christian Fellowship and was on the Church board. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 P.M. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Diane Bergeron of Sabine Pass,son, Robbie and wife Diane Bergeron of Houma, LA., daughters, Jessica and husband Robert Boudreaux of Chauvin,LA., Debbie and husband Kenny Rodgers of Humble, TX., Kim Bergeron and companion Greg Sonnier of Port Neches, TX., Kristie and husband Jody Anderson of Bridge City, TX.,brother James (Boo) Bergeron of Chauvin, LA., sisters, Carmer Falgout of Lafayette, LA, Marlene Champagne, Claudette Bascle both of Chauvin, LA. stepsons, Jerry Rivera of Chicago, IL., Jason Rivera of Groves, TX.,Jonah Rivera of Beaumont, TX., 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 11 step-grandchildren.
