Anne Hudson, 81, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont on Monday, March 4, 2013. She was born on November 27, 1931 to Vella Boone Kendall and Francis Kendall in El Paso, Texas. She has been a resident of Port Arthur since 1952. Anne was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Groves. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, March 8, 2013 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Rev. Richard Turner, officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Mount Enterprise, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother and her son, Jimmy Hudson. Anne is survived by her loving husband, C. R. Hudson of Port Arthur, Texas, her daughter, Melissa Waller of Groves, Texas, her sons, Craig Hudson and wife Claire of Nederland, Texas, Charles Richard Hudson of Hamshire, Texas, Henry Hudson of San Augustine, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeremy Hudson and Wanda Hartman, Ray Blakeman, Jr., Maggie Blakeman, Charles Alan Blakeman, Garrett Van Hudson, Heather Ann Hudson, Angel Maureen Hudson, Derek Trahan and Jason Trahan along with several great grandchildren as well as two nieces.

My love and prayers for my beautiful Aunt Anne, Charles and all the family. RIP Aunt Anne. I pray you are with Mom and MeMe now and you all are at peace. My love to all the family, although we a strangers we are family. My heart hurts for your loss. it's 2 years ago this week her sister Virginia died.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Hudson's passing. She and her family were there for me at the times of my greatest need. I will never forget our late night trips to Pizza Inn on Gulfway when Melissa and I were in high school. I will miss her greatly.
