Scott Wimberly September 18, 1962 - April 2, 2013

Jeffery Scott Wimberly, 50, of Groves, Texas passed away at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. He was born on September 18, 1962 to Mary DeRise Wimberly and Robert Frank Wimberly in Port Arthur, Texas. Scott graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged for medical reasons. He worked as an operator at Flint Hills Resources for five years. Scott was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, April 5, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. T. R. Blanco serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Gray and his son, Scott Wimberly. Scott is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Galvan Wimberly of Groves, Texas, his daughter, Ariel Wimberly of Groves, Texas, his father, Robert Frank Wimberly of Port Neches, Texas, his sisters, Debbie Hayes and husband David of Groves, Texas, Amber Kimball and husband David of Groves, Texas, Laurie Simoneaux and husband Scott of Nederland, Texas; brother, Keith Wimberly and wife Kanda of Port Neches, Texas along with numerous nieces and nephews.
