Margaret Wolford, 93 of the Port Arthur area, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Magnolia Manor in Groves. Peggy was born in Needham Heights, MA on August 6, 1919 to Gordon and Sarah Brittain Turner. Peggy was retired from the Diocese of Beaumont School District as a teacher after 25 years. Taking care of others was something she was very passionate about. She loved her children with all her heart and with great pride. Her Catholic faith was an unending devotion. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bert H. Wolford, son John E. Wolford; brothers, William Turner, Frederick Turner, Thomas Turner; sisters, Phyllis Coffey, Jane Fisher and a grandchild, Jessica Lynn Wolford. She is survived by her sons, Bert W. Wolford and wife Jeridine of Groves, TX, Richard M. "Dickie" Wolford and wife Sylvia of Taylor Landing, TX; daughter, Linda Dubose and husband Doug of Orange, TX, daughter-in-law, Deana Wolford of Brookland, TX., brother, Robert Bobby Turner of North Hampton, New Hampshire; sisters Nancy Powell of Newfield, ME, Susan Coffey of Swansea, MA, Patricia Coffey of Swansea, MA; 13 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed by Rev. Ron Foshage at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter Catholic Church with Msgr. Kenneth Greig officiating, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Michaels Catholic Church in Jasper, Texas.

I was saddened when I heard of your mother's death. She was an amazing person who always welcomed me whenever I went to visit and always felt her love when I left.
