Charles Rayford Hudson August 3, 1929 - June 21, 2013

Charles Hudson, 83, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont on Friday, June 21, 2013. He was born on August 3, 1929 to Bennie Marks and Robert Austin Hudson in Nacogdoches, Texas. He has been a resident of Port Arthur since 1952. Charles was an operator foreman at Gulf Oil and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Groves. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army. Visitation will be on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Rev. Richard Turner, officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Mount Enterprise, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Letha Cude and Joy Neuman; a son, Jimmy Hudson, and a granddaughter, Magnolia Blakeman. Charles is survived by his daughter, Melissa Waller of Groves, Texas, his sons, Craig Hudson and wife Claire of Nederland, Texas, Charles Richard Hudson of Hamshire, Texas, Henry Hudson of San Augustine, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeremy Hudson and Wanda Hartman, Ray Blakeman, Jr., Charles Alan Blakeman, Garrett Van Hudson, Heather Ann Hudson, Angel Marie Maureen, Derek Trahan and Jason Trahan along with several great grandchildren as well as two nieces.
