Edward Roy Williams, Jr. November 9, 1936 - June 25, 2013

Edward Roy Williams, Jr., 76, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. He was born on November 9, 1936 to Roberta Deslatte Williams and Edward R. Williams, Sr. in Port Arthur, Texas. He lived most of his life in Sabine Pass and retired as a commercial fisherman. Visitation will be on Thursday June 27, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, June 28, 2013 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Earl Williams, Sr., his sister, Carolyn Seymour, his son, Troy Edward Williams and his nephew, Jonathan P. Williams. Edward is survived by his loving wife, Helen Kay Williams of Port Arthur, Texas, his children, Pamela Stewart of Las Vegas, Nevada, Charles Williams and his wife Kristal of Kerrville, Texas, Tommy Williams and his wife Anna of Dayton, Texas, Perry Williams and his wife Nadine of Sabine Pass, Texas, Max Murdoch and his wife Alma of San Antonio, Texas, John Sanchez of Houston, Texas, Juanita Williams and husband Gene of Woodstock, Ohio, Karen McPherson and husband Eddie of Ingram, Texas, Leandra Colvin and husband Walter of Groves, Texas, Kathleen Sanchez of Port Arthur, Texas, Julie Aycock of Sabine Pass, Texas along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, He is also survived by his sisters, Margie McCray and husband Billy and Bertha Seymour and husband Henry all of Sabine Pass, Texas, his brother, Bill Williams and his wife Brenda of Sabine Pass, Texas along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
