Vincent Blake Summers July 12, 1978 - June 27, 2013

Vincent "Vinnie" Blake Summers, 34, of Groves, Texas, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 27, 2013. He was born on July 12, 1978 to Jacqueline Price Summers and Eric Summers, Sr. in Berea, Ohio. Vinnie has been a resident of the area since January, 1990. He worked as an independent pipefitter for over fourteen years. Vinnie loved to fish and play pool and was an avid Ohio State fan. Visitation will be on Monday July 1, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Rev. Ralph Foster, officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. He is survived by his daughters, Jadlyn Valorie Summers and Katlyn Gabriel Summers both of Fannett, Texas along with their mother, Amanda Marie Lowrey of Fannett, Texas, his mother, Jaci Gass and husband Richard of Lake Charles, Louisiana, his father, Eric Summers, Sr. and his wife Sue of Medina, Ohio, his brothers, Eric Thomas Summers, Jr. and his wife Katy of Port Neches, Texas, Adam Lee Summers, Sr. and his wife Janelle of Berea, Ohio, several nieces and nephews along with his girlfriend, Leslie Rowley of Groves, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Epilepsy Foundation, 855 Jim Gilligan Way, Beaumont, Texas 77705-6125 in memory of Vinnie.
