Kimberly Ann Flores

Kimberly Ann Flores, 45 of Port Neches passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at her residence. Kimberly was born in Port Arthur, TX on May 3, 1968 to Cecile and Maurice Whitney and lived most of her life in the Port Neches area. Kim was preceded in death by her dad. She is survived by her husband, Mike Flores of Port Neches, Texas; daughters, Ashley Whitney of Port Neches, Lynsie Whitney of Hamshire, Brittnie and husband Brandon Brickerd of Tomball, Jennifer Flores of Port Neches; mother, Cecile Whitney of Hamshire; father and mother-in-law, George and Katherine Flores of Port Arthur; grandmother, Mable Toutcheque of Port Arthur; brother, Kenneth Whitney of Hamshire; sister, Kathleen Whitney of Oregon and 1 grandchild, Skylar Grace Brickerd. Visitation will be on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

I haven't seen Kim in years but it saddens me to hear of her passing. This just reminds us of how short our time is here. We should seek out our salvation with fear and trembling. And seek him while he may be found.

My prayers are with each of you. Kim spent so many days & nights taking care of my darling Grand-daughter Ashtyn. She cared for Ashtyn & loved as her own. She would say that Ashtyn was her baby just like her girls. Ashtyn loved spending time with Nanny Kim & would cry when we came to pick her up. Kim always said just leave her a little longer. I have thought of her often & loving her for the care & patience she gave us & Ashtyn. May God Bless You All. Mr. Mike thank you for loving Ashtyn & letting us share Nanny Kim with you.

It's difficult to believe that Kim is no longer here. Our hearts are broken because she was suddenly taken away from us. But, we know she is in heaven where there is nothing but love, peace & no sadness. We will miss her & shall always keep her with us in our hearts. We love you Kim! We always will.
