Hilda Mae Roccaforte October 26, 1927 - August 21, 2013

Hilda Mae Hebert Roccaforte, 85, of Groves, Texas passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. She was born on October 26, 1927 to Helena Young Hebert and Edward Hebert in Port Arthur, Texas. She married Tony Roccaforte in 1949 and together they raised their seven children. They moved to Groves in 1955 and were members of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Hilda raised their seven children and never lost her sense of humor. She enjoyed making baby blankets with crochet borders, playing bingo and going to the casino. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Virgia Domec Moss and Juanita Doiron, her brothers, Leroy Hebert and Gilbert Hebert and her husband of 61 years, Tony. Visitation will be on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2013 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Groves with Msgr. Kenneth R. Greig and Deacon Glen Hebert con-celebrating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Toby Wyble, Corey Wyble, Reese Roccaforte, Nick Roccaforte, Bubba Richard, Micah Richard, Kaleb Richard, Rhett Roccaforte, Cade Fontenot, Ryan Roccaforte and Jimmy Baxter. Hilda is survived by her children, Chris Klinkhammer and husband Herman, Pat Richard and husband Tokey, Mike Roccaforte and wife Stacie, Wayne Roccaforte and wife Lisa all of Groves, Texas, Buddy Wyble and husband Mark of Port Neches, Texas, Larry Roccaforte and wife Sharon of Nederland, Texas, Garry Roccaforte and wife Margaret of Conroe, Texas, 28 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marilyn Roccaforte of Groves, Texas along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank extended family and friends for their prayers, love and support over the past few weeks. Also special thanks to Tessa, her hospice aide, who was very special to mom, and all the wonderful Hospice nurses and Dr. Michael Amsden. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southeast Texas Hospice, 912 W. Cherry Street, Orange, Texas 77630 in memory of Hilda.
