Elizabeth "Day-day" Guy, 88 of Port Arthur passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at her residence. Elizabeth was born in Norwood, LA on June 29, 1925 to Lillie Hood and William Paine and lived most of her life in the Port Arthur area. She loved the Lord and loved her family. Day-day was the only living charter member of Bethel Baptist Church in Port Acres. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Estern "Dub" Guy; her parents, two sons, John and Daniel Guy and her grandson Darryl Guy. She is survived by her sons, Richard Guy of Cedar Park, TX, Jimmy Guy of Port Arthur, Woodrow Guy of Port Arthur, David Guy of Lumberton, Timothy Guy of Port Neches, Stephen Guy of Port Arthur; daughter, Linda Moore of Orange; 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren with 2 great grandchildren on the way and 4 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Memory Garden Cemetery.
