Shirley Christie, 65 of Port Arthur passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Shirley was born in Wewoka, OK on October 17, 1947 to Annie Johnnie and Vernon White. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Gary Christie of Port Arthur, Texas; daughters, Kim and husband Lance Guidry of Bridge City, Texas, Tracy and husband Jay Roccaforte of Port Neches, Texas; brother, Vernon White, Jr. of Port Arthur; sister, Vera Ann White of Fort Worth, Texas; and five grandchildren, Hayden Guidry, Carley Roccaforte, Lauren Guidry, Carson Roccaforte and Connor Roccaforte. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson with Rev. Jeff Bell officiating and burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
