Harvey LaGrappe August 23, 1936 - October 30, 2013

Harvey LaGrappe, age 77 of Nederland, Texas passed away on October 30, 2013 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Harvey was born on August 23, 1936 in Port Arthur, Texas to Dallas and Alta Guidry LaGrappe. Harvey lived his life in Port Arthur up until 2006 when he and his wife moved to Nederland. He retired from the Port Arthur Fire Department as a Battalion Chief with 41 years of service. Harvey was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3491 3rd Degree and a former member of the National Guard and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. in the Thompson Chapel of Clayton Thompson. A mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM at St. James Catholic Church, 3617 Gulfway Drive, Port Arthur, Texas. Internment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park with full fireman honors. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife; Carol LaGrappe of Nederland, sons, Michael and wife Cindy of Nederland, Jeff LaGrappe and wife Tammy of Groves, Ken LaGrappe and wife Connie of Nederland, Chad LaGrappe and wife Jessica of Beaumont and Craig LaGrappe and wife Robyn of Spring, daughters, Karen Daigle and husband Rod of Nederland and Jan Moore and husband Kenny of Willis, brothers, Raymond, Calvin LaGrappe and his wife Georgeann both of Beaumont and Jimmy LaGrappe and his wife Gayla of Atascocita,. grandchildren, David Daigle, Kristen Baxter, Tara Bedwell, Tyler LaGrappe, Cameron LaGrappe, Karlee LaGrappe, Kirsti LaGrappe, Katlyn LaGrappe, Tana Montalvo, Mackenzie LaGrappe, Avery LaGrappe, Gavin LaGrappe, Logan Montalbano and William Montalbano, great grandchildren, Mykala Daigle, Kennedy Daigle, Landon Baxter, Riley Baxter, Colton Montalvo, Kylie Montalvo, Ashtyn LaGrappe, Brandon Jones, Austin Jones and C. J. Jones.
