Betsy Joan Brown December 14, 1926 - October 30, 2013

Betsy Joan Brown, 86, of Nederland passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Betsy was born in New Salem, TX on December 14, 1926 to Helen Corley Browning and Guy Browning and lived in Nederland for 53 years. She is survived by her husband, William Brown of Nederland; sons, Mack Brown of Jersey Village, TX, and Joe Brown of Rockport, TX; daughter, Betty Haynes of Houston; 4 grandchildren, Matthew Haynes, Angela Dodson, Todd Haynes and Mackenzie Brown; with 3 great grandchildren, Elizabeth Haynes, Rebecca Haynes and Olivia Haynes. A Memorial Service will be on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Mid County Baptist Church. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mid County Baptist Church.
