Anna Maria Orta May 1, 1960 - December 15, 2013

Anna Maria Orta of Groves passed away in Mexico on December 12, 2013 due to injuries from a automobile accident Anna was born in Port Arthur on May 1,1960 to Elda Oyervides and Manuel Orta, SR. She was a Special Ed. teacher for the San Antonio School District for the past 26 years. Anna was of the Catholic faith. Anna is survived by her parents Manuel and Elda Orta, SR.of Groves, husband Oscar Garcia of Mexico, daughters, Christina Orta , and Alana Morales both of San Antonio, brothers, Henry Orta of Groves, Richard and wife Dianna Orta of Katy, Manuel and wife Jodie Orta, JR. of Groves, Gabriel and wife Amanda Orta of Friendswood. sisters, Carmen and husband Mark Blanton of Port Arthur, Maria Joseph Morrell of Groves, Elizabeth Barry Rieter of Conroe and Elda Orta of Groves, 6 grandchildren and 1 on the way. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary prayed at 6:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 3648 S/Sgt. Lucian Adams Drive, Port Arthur. Internment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
