Francis Henry Seal September 27, 1925 - January 19, 2014

Francis Henry Seal, 88, of Groves, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at his home. He was born on September 27, 1925 to Pearl Hickman Seal and Henry Seal in Glenmora, Louisiana. He was a resident of Groves for 68 years. He served in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Lavaca. Francis retired from Texaco Refinery in the Instrument Department after 38 years. He is survived by his wife, Betty Seal, daughter, Connie Seal, Susan Otte and husband Steve, grandson, Chris Orena and wife Chrissy, great grandchildren, Brooke, Kyle and Jenna Orena, three nieces and four nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves with a Memorial Service at 6:30 PM. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves. Thanks to wonderful neighbors and friends, Groves Fire Dept., Southeast Texas Hospice and Quality Medical.

My deepest sympathy and prayers are with the Seal family. I worked with Francis at Texaco in the Instrument Dapartment from the middle sixties to the early seventies. We had a lot of good times together and he will be missed due to his infectious smile and humor. He was a good friend and coworker.
