My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I was her co-worker at St. Mary Hospital for 14 years. She was so good at what she did and she did it with a smile, but when a frown was necessary to make a point, she did that too. She will never be forgotten by her St. Mary family.

As I take the time to pour my thoughts out here, I fondly remember times of traveling to Port Arthur to see my Aunt Topsy. Well, actually my Great Aunt Topsy. My dad explained to me those many years ago how special a lady she was, and I thought that the term "Great" was in reference to that! Well, in her case, it was truly a double description of her. I loved to listen to her laugh, to talk, and just to be in her company. We didn't get to make many trips there, so when we got the chance, it was something to look forward to. I remember the last "true" reunion we all shared at Toledo Bend in 1986. I didn't care if I got to see anyone else, as long as I got to see my Aunt Topsy! As the years clicked by, it seemed the only time we ever got to see one another was when someone passed on. Now, after all these years, her time has come. She is sorely missed already, but we know we will see her once again, when it is our time join her with our Heavenly Father.

Mrs. Crouch was my first surgical director. She was a kind hearted soul. I will always remember her calling "Missy" ....that meant she wanted something done right now.We were a family...thru good times and times of sorrow.Heaven has another angel.
