Roy Webb of Groves, Texas, passed on to eternal life at home with family on Sunday, February 23, 2014. Roy was born on August 17, 1929, to Sallie and Stephen Webb of Port Arthur, Texas. Roy was a gold card member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen, and he retired as Business Representative of District Council No.2 of Texas after teaching with the union apprentice program for many years. The score was 71 - 0 for PNG. Roy played golf at the "Pea Patch" and was a long-time member. He was a western movie and book fan, traveled on commercial tours, never tired of visiting with area friends, played dominoes, loved gospel music and telling old jokes. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of 64 years. Also sons, Stephen of Houston, Lee of Webster, Joel of Beaumont and daughter, Lynn (Nick) Huckaby. Grandchildren: Misty and Mike Arnad, Garrett Webb, Charlie and Kristen Huckaby. Great grandchildren: Taylor Cates, Jaycee Collins, Slade and Ava Huckaby, Mason Arnaud.
