Stephen Dugas, Jr., 63, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Monday, March 19, 2014 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born on December 12, 1950 to Lucy Bell LeBlanc Dugas and Stephen Dugas in Port Arthur. Stephen was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1970. He retired as a welder after 40 years, with his last job with National Pump and Compressor. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Chereline Cormier Dugas of Port Arthur, Texas, his sisters, Ethel Granger and Jeanette Whitten both of Port Arthur, Texas and Karen Haines of Louisiana, several nieces and nephews.

Steve was our brother-in-law since 1971. He was truly a blessing and loved deeply by the whole family. Although we will miss him dearly, his time of suffering is over. We take comfort in knowing he is at peace. God has one special angel. We will miss you Steve!!

I worked with Stephen at Icorp. Always enjoyed visiting with him. My prayers are with his love ones & I will miss Stephen.
