John Carl May September 15, 1929 - March 28, 2014

John May, 84, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur on Friday, March 28, 2014. He was born on September 15, 1929 to Clyde and Mabel Sweger May in Enid, Oklahoma. John proudly served his country in The United States Army during the Korean Conflict. John is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry May. John is survived by wife, Betty May of Port Arthur; sons, Curtis May (Lynn Drawhorn) of Groves, TX, Russell May (Luann) of Florida, Keith May (Marianne) of Port Neches, Kent May (Laura) of Beaumont, Kevin May (Rendy) of Groves; a daughter, Jennifer Nugent of Burleson, TX; brother, Bobby May (Jo) of Kingsland, TX; sister, Mildred Erickson (Arvid) of Columbus, TX; twenty grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Graveside service will be on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 3 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
