Floyd Ray Trahan December 1, 1921 - April 16, 2014

Floyd Ray Trahan passed away on April 16, 2014 at the age of 92. He was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on December 1, 1921 to Charles Dupre Trahan and Amelia Bernard Trahan. He was an Insulator and retired from Asbestos Workers Local 22 of Houston, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Katherine Trahan, his son, Floyd (Shorty) Vernon Trahan, his grandson, Timothy Vernon Trahan, his 4 brothers and his 3 sisters. He is survived by his two sons, Steve Trahan and his wife Linda of Nederland and Allen Trahan and his wife Christine of Petaluma, California. Daughter-in-law, Shirley Trahan of Vidor his 4 grandchildren Tracey Tatum, Troy Trahan, Wendy East and Jeremy Trahan and 7 great grand children and 2 great great grand children. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 17, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at the Thompson Memorial Chapel of Clayton Thompson with entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
