Barbara Ann Hebert Vickers, 71, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur. She was born in Kaplan, Louisiana on August 14, 1942 to Louise Bourque Hebert and Fred Hebert, Sr. Barbara has been a resident of Port Arthur for 65 years. She owned and operated several nightclubs/bars over the last 30 years with the Playhouse Lounge on Gulfway being her last venture. She was a member of the Catholic faith. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 17, 2014 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Hebert, Sr. and her brother, Gerald Lee Hebert. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Stephenson of Port Arthur, Texas, her sons, Brian Schoenberg of Groves, Texas and Benny Schoenberg of Deweyville, Texas, her mother, Louise Hebert of Port Arthur, Texas, her sisters, Linda Umphrey of LaBelle, Texas, Patricia Gillespie of Groesbeck, Texas and her brother, Fred Hebert, Jr. of Groves, Texas along with 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
