Exi Lee Barnett age 85 passed away on Saturday August 9, 2014 at Mid Jefferson Extended Care facility. She was born in Oklahoma City, OK. on June 29, 1929 to Roscoe and Virginia Sisson Rimmer. Exi Lee was a 50 year resident of Groves and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School class of 1947. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.R. Sherren and second husband, Bill Barnett, mother, Jenny Sisson and granddaughter, Tina DuPlantis. She is survived by her father and his wife, Charles and Stella Sisson of Portland, TX., step-sons, Bob and his wife Jeannine, Arlon, and Chuck and his wife Connie Barnett all of Pensacola, FL., daughters, Dixie and husband, Ed Johnson of Deweyville, TX. and Susan Sherrer of Round Rock, TX., grandchildren, Amy Duke, Aaron Johnson and Jamie Lynch and five great grandchildren and friend and companion, Tommy Wingler Visitation will be on Tuesday August 12, 2014 from 8:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. with her Funeral Service at 2:00 P.M. in the Thompson Memorial Chapel of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
