Lester J. Breaux March 7, 1921 - October 2, 2014

Lester J. Breaux, 93, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 2, 2014. He was born in Loreauville, Louisiana on March 7, 1921 to Docia Gonsoulin Breaux and Ferdinand Breaux. He has been a resident of the Port Arthur area for over 68 years. Lester served in the U. S. Army during World War II, he was in Germany, France and D-day. He retired from Gulf Oil as a supervisor in the cracking department after 35 years of service. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service will follow at 2:00 PM Saturday in Greenlawn Memorial Park at the Chapel of Resurrection Mausoleum with Full Military Honors. He was preceded in death by his parents, several sisters and brothers, his loving wife, Ethel Breaux. Lester is survived by his two daughters, Rita Savoie and husband, Johnny of Port Arthur, Peggy Payne and husband, Jimmy of Beaumont, his son, Darryl Breaux and wife, Esma of San Antonio, his grandchildren, Darren Breaux and wife, Sandy, Bryan Breaux, Todd Savoie and wife, Gina, Tiffani DeCuir and husband, Jerimy, Jean Landry and husband, Tim and Scott Payne along with 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ferdinand Breaux and wife, Goldie of Loreauville, Louisiana as well as numerous nieces and nephews and his special friend, Sadie DeJohn of Port Arthur along with his four legged friend, Belle.

My prayers are with you and Uncle Lester. I still remember his smile when we visited his house with Rita Gail and Peggy as children. I wish I could be there for the services, but time does not permit travel from South Carolina now. Love, Beryl
