David Lee Greer, Jr. September 20, 1958 - October 14, 2014

David Lee Greer, Jr., 56, of Port Arthur passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur. He was born on September 20, 1958 to Geneva Depew Greer and David L. Greer, Sr. in Port Arthur, Texas. David graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1979. He served in the U. S. Army. David worked for Securitas Security Company at the Huntsman Plant in Port Neches until becoming disabled 6 years ago. He was a member of Landmark United Pentecostal Church. He loved to fish, do circle word puzzles and spending time with his family. He adored all three of his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Greer of Port Arthur, his three daughters, Martha Forsythe and husband, Fred of Sabine Pass, Rachel Scott and Elizabeth Greer both of Port Arthur, his three grandchildren, Mandy, Sam and Regina Forsythe, one sister, Beth Conners of Houston, one nephew, Jason Canaras. Visitation will be on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Celebration of Life Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 18, 2014 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Rev. James D. Lee, officiating. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors.
