Judy Kay (Brown) Williamson, 63, of Groves, TX passed away in the company of her loved-ones at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont on Sunday, November 30, 2014 after living with cancer for over 2 years. She was preceded in passing by her parents Verna Lee (Deville) Brown and Lester Paul Brown of Groves, and leaves to cherish her memory; a husband of 26 years Micheal O. Williamson, stepdaughter Melissa Farrow of Nederland, son Leslie A. Pitre & wife Letty Pitre of Port Neches, and sister-in-law Judy Ann Williamson of Beaumont; grandchildren Shea Pitre, Aaron Pitre, Clayton Pitre, Christa Pitre, Preslie Brumley, and Rylie Farrow; sister Janice Lee Capps, nephew Kevin Ray Lamm, nieces Krysti Kay Dockens, Kari Sweeney, and their respective families. Judy Kay enjoyed a long and productive clerical/office career in employment with St. Mary's Hospital, the State of Texas, a local advertising agency, and Southwestern Bell Inc., in which she established and maintained many long-lasting friendships. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends both new and old, the outdoors, her pets, and music. Judy looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren, often going to the movies, baking cookies, making crafts, and attending their extracurricular activities. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, December 3 from 4-8 pm at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, TX. Funeral services will begin at 10 am on Thursday, December 4 at the funeral home with Rev. Stephen McCrate officiating; burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
