Beverly Pearl Dugas August 23, 1943 - December 17, 2014

Beverly Dugas, 71 of Port Arthur passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at her residence in Port Arthur. Beverly was born in Port Arthur on August 23, 1943 to Marie Woodson and Alfred Heath. Beverly managed the Port Arthur Bowl for many years. Beverly loved bowling, fishing and gardening. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents and brother Alfred Francis Heath, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Dugas of Port Arthur, Texas; sons, Nicholas James Postula and wife Marissa of Michigan, Walter Stanley Postula and wife Belinda of Houston, Texas, Joseph Franklin Postula of Port Arthur, Texas; step-son, Donnie Ray Dugas of Port Arthur, Texas; step-daughter, Nicole Dugas of Port Arthur, Texas; sister, Maggie Darlene Postula of Montgomery, Texas; sister-in-law, Christine Heath of Bridge City, Texas; 3 grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Special thanks to caregivers Annette Courville and Shayla Miles and Harbor Hospice staff.

Beverly and I were long time friends going back to Band days at Woodrow Wilson through Thomas Jefferson. She was a wonderful friend as well as a wonderful person.
