Raymond Trahan January 18, 1929 - December 19, 2014

Raymond Trahan, 85, of Labelle passed away on December 19, 2014 at his home. His 5 children were at his side when he drifted peacefully off to be with the Lord. Raymond was born January 18, 1929 in Kaplan, Louisiana. He moved to Texas as a young man and retired from Jefferson County Precinct 2 after 39 years of service. He is survived by a sister Rosella Guilbeaux of Groves, Texas and a brother Luther Trahan of Port Arthur, Texas. He is also survived by his children, Ronnie Trahan and his wife Nancy of Many, Louisiana; James Trahan and his companion Tootie Koons of Fannett, Texas; Janine Burrell and her husband Todd of Labelle,Texas; Mike Trahan, of Fannett, Texas; and Randy Trahan and his wife Stacie of Labelle, Texas. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Raymond was proceeded in death by his beloved wife of many years Mayola Trahan, his parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Raymond was known for his lawn which he kept mowed like a putting green and his amazing gardens. We will all miss sitting with him on his front porch, talking and enjoying life. He lives on in our memories
