Ruben Frank Ramirez July 15, 1957 - January 5, 2015

Ruben Frank Ramirez, 57, of Port Arthur, died Monday, January 5, 2015. He was born July 15, 1957 to Frank and Emma Ramirez. He was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 5-9 p.m. at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. on Monday, January 12 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Reverend T. R. Blanco of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur and Reverend Sandra Von Gyllenband of Unity Church in Beaumont. He touched many lives as an active member of PANAC and Concerned Citizens of Pear Ridge organizations. He lived his life to serve others and was awarded Civilian Awards numerous times and was recognized by the Port Arthur Police Departments of Street Crimes Unit for his involvement in arrests. Survivors include wife Vickie Farrell Ramirez of Port Arthur, Godchildren Hailey and Pedro Munoz, numerous nieces and nephews and beloved pets Max and Rascal. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank M and Emma V. Ramirez and sister Virginia Ramirez Craig. Donations in Honor of Ruben Ramirez can be made to PANAC, P. O. Box 2006, Port Arthur, Texas 77643-2006.

My condolences and prayers to Vicki and the Ramirez family. Ruben was my cousin. Didn't get to see him much in my life but I do have a few fond memories of when him and my aunt and uncle would come up to visit us.
