Manuel R. Arriola January 12, 1927 - February 28, 2015

Manuel R. Arriola, 88, loving husband, father and grandfather of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 in Port Arthur, Texas. He was born on January 12, 1927 to Lenora Reyes Arriola and Pedro Arriola in Orange, Texas. Manuel graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1945. He was a veteran and served in the U. S. Army. Manuel married Martha Arredondo in 1957 and they were happily married for 57 years at the time of his death. The Arriolas' resided in Port Arthur where Manuel retired from Texaco as a Diesel Mechanic after 40 years of service. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 5, 2015 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Pastor Virgil Iilla, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. Manuel is survived by his loving wife, Martha Arriola of Port Arthur, Texas, daughter, Laura Hurst and husband Ralph of San Leon, Texas, son, Andrew Arredondo and wife, Yolanda of Port Neches, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren with one on the way. He is also survived by his sisters, Levy Delino of Port Arthur and Mary Lopez of Beaumont, several nieces and nephews.
